Colegio Peruano Británico (CPB) is a bilingual, day school situated on 20,000 square meters in the heart of the historic center of Lima, Peru. Authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization, CPB currently enrolls 934 students of 21 nationalities in UK Years 1–13. The school's inquiry-based curriculum prepares all students for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, and acceptance to major universities in Peru and abroad. Students master English and Spanish while working toward efficient knowledge of everyday French. The teaching staff of 104 includes 88 local Peruvian educators to enhance your acclimation to the local culture. CPB’s culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) of all its students is fostered through lessons, discussions, and experiences that go beyond the classroom. Spacious, multifunctional sports facilities, both outdoors and indoors, allow students to practice sports at a recreational and competitive level. The availability of ample court space and equipment provide for basketball, soccer, hockey, track and field, table tennis, handball, martial arts, and volleyball. As proud members of Association of Friendly Private Schools, CPB hosts sports competitions against other educational institutions. CPB’s top athletes train to compete at the annual Nord Anglia Education Global Games.
Well-equipped facilities for dance, music, visual arts, and theater allow students to experiment with different drawing, painting, and sculpture techniques in specially-designed studios. They study techniques used by artists from different historical periods, thereby finding parallels between universal history, the history of Peru, and the history of art. CPB also provides photography equipment and spaces where students connect with their everyday environment through the lens of a camera. Using different fragments of reality, they develop photographic proposals within the framework of a specific theme, emotion, or idea.
CPB hires certified overseas teaching candidates of diverse profiles, including newly-certified teachers and those with a non-teaching partner. They will also consider hiring interns. All teachers must hold an academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. As per government regulations, those up to the age of 70 may obtain a work visa.
The exceptional teach abroad benefits package includes a non-taxed salary, moving and settling-in allowances, and airfare every two years. A tuition benefit of 50% is offered for every dependent.
