Teach in Vietnam at EIS!

Are you an international educator who has dreamed of teaching overseas in Vietnam? The European International School HCMC (EIS) is now one of Search Associates' premier member schools. Seated in Thao Dien, District 2, about 15 minutes from the city center, the stunning campus is comprised of eleven, mostly low-rise villas, each with its own educational function, each designed to blend into the stunning, green environment. EIS was established in 2013 and is a fully-authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, implementing all levels of the curriculum. Currently, 330 pre-K-12 students from 27 different nations attend EIS. Half of the teaching staff and 10% of the students are from N. America and the U.K.

Recruiters at EIS say, "EIS welcomes open-minded, innovative practitioners whatever their personal circumstances." While there is no age limit to obtain a work visa, teachers must be certificated to obtain one. The school also mentions local opportunities for non-teaching spouses.

The benefits package allows for some savings, and a family of four could 'make do' on one salary. Teachers receive stipends for settling in and housing. Local, worldwide, and major/medical are provided, the school indicates, with the exception of "any exceptional health insurance costs, usually pertaining to pre-existing conditions." Additionally, families receive airfare to and from their country as well as 100% tuition for up to two children. A unique benefit occurs in a teacher's fourth year: he or she gets the chance to participate in the Nobel Education Network teacher exchange program.
