November 25-27th, Senior Associate Bill Turner welcomed 121 candidates and 87 recruiters to Search Associates November Dubai job Fair. Recruiters representing 52 schools in 19 countries posted 435 international school vacancies. Along with Bill, both Alison Turner and Senior Associate Gary MacPhie were on hand to provide assistance to both candidates and schools.

Held early in the recruiting season, November Dubai heavy attendance from schools in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), though also from as far afield as Senegal, South Korea, and Croatia. A great opportunity for both teaching and leadership candidates, the fair fostered about 450 interviews this year. Candidate Rosee Myers shared her excitement:
This was my second in-person Search Associates fair and, whilst [this one was] incredibly intense, they are a wonderful way to meet and introduce yourself personally to a wide range of schools and school leaders. The energy at the fairs is electric, and in very short 30-minute interviews you instantly know if the chemistry is there between you and a school. I felt exhausted by the end but was able to line up for seven interviews in a day. Both fairs have brought me countless opportunities I had no idea even existed at the start of the day.
This year’s venue, Universal American School, Dubai, is conveniently located 15 minutes from the airport and five minutes from both a mall and local hotels.
Director of International School of Dakar Sandy Mackenzie was complimentary: “The classroom setting worked well, the sign-up location was good, and the school is easy to get to from the hotel.”
Deputy Head of Junior School Haileybury Astana, Kazakhstan Emma Gricmanis added, “The fair was well executed, and support was always on hand."
MS/HS Principal Beijing International Bilingual Academy Peter John Fremauxhad this to say: "When you meet a candidate at an in-person fair, you learn so much more about them that doesn't come across the computer screen. The same is true for the candidates. Also, unlike virtual fairs and recruitment, it is the candidates who you had not identified online, who you then meet at a fair, that often turn out to be superstars you eventually employ."
