March 1st–3rd, Senior Associate Nick Kendell and his wife and Search Associates (SEARCH) partner Paula along with Harry and Margaret Deelman, welcomed 20 schools and 60 candidates to NIST International School, Thailand for Search Bangkok-March 2019. A team of Search Associates joined the Kendells to make sure all participants felt supported. On offer were 151 jobs.
With 20 schools and 60 candidates in attendance, Search Bangkok-March is a convenient and intimate event. Its comfortable size provides plenty of opportunities for schools and educators to find the right match. This year’s venue, NIST International School, is located in the heart of downtown Bangkok, where recruiters and candidates not only can enjoy a great job fair, but also Thailand’s rich culture.
Search Bangkok-March can be the right place and the right time for both recruiters and candidates because lots of international teaching positions remain unfilled during the year-round recruiting process. The fair is purposely scheduled for candidates who have made a late decision to search for a new position and for recruiters finding themselves with late-in-the-year vacancies.
Attendees certainly were well looked after in the friendly and collegial atmosphere. The Search Associates team of Paula and Nick, Harry and Margaret were joined by Senior Associate John Ritter and his wife Susan Ritter. Also helping out was NIST student Sophie Keam. The attentive NIST staff catered great evening events, and three skilled masseuses were on hand to help remove stress from the shoulders of candidates and recruiters!
A number of happy candidates walked away with positions on the last night of the fair, with more job placements expected as representatives discuss appointments with staff back at their schools.
