On behalf of the Board of Directors at the American School of Douala (ASD), Cameroon, Search Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sean Goudie as the Interim Director of American School of Douala (ASD), Cameroon for the 2023 -2024 school year.
An excerpt from Board Chair Mr. Chebienka Leslie Langsi's of Sean's appointment is as follows:
Mr. Goudie has a long career in international education, both as a school leader and a teacher, with nearly 20 years of administrative experience and 15 years of experience as a teacher. Mr. Goudie served as Director of a number of schools including Rabat American School in Morocco, the International School of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Asmara International Community School in Eritrea, and The American School of Kingston in Jamaica. He began his career as a teacher and taught in a number schools across the world, including his home country of Canada.
Mr. Goudie has a special connection to Cameroon, as he lived in Yaoundé when he was a child for seven years, and first starting learning French while attending Lycée LeClerc and Collège Fustel de Coulanges. He also visited ASD five years ago as a member of the accreditation team from Middle States Association, our accrediting agency.
