Press Release: Nancy Squicciarini Appointed as Head of Community Relations at International School of Luxembourg

Nancy Squicciarini has been appointed as the new Head of Community Relations at the International School of Luxembourg (ISL) and will start her new role in August 2018. Nancy is currently the ISL Upper School Assistant Principal for teaching and learning and has 30 years’ experience as an educator. 

The Head of Community Relations will bring together and oversee the Partnership Development, Communication and Admissions teams, with the aim of strategically supporting the school’s vision for future growth, and collaboratively promoting it as the international school of choice in Luxembourg.

ISL Director Nicki Crush said,

“Nancy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in education, curriculum development, stakeholder engagement and event management. Her dedication, constant drive for innovation and ability to foster and maintain solid relationships is exactly what we need for our future plans.”

Born and educated in New York, Nancy began her career as an elementary teacher and then transitioned into secondary education, teaching both English and Social Studies. 

Nancy has played a major part in the promotion of ISL for many years and has a broad range of experience as a teacher, head of department, Chair of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) Curriculum and Assessment Committee, Accreditation Visiting Team Member for the Council of International Schools, trainer at the Principals Training Centre, and member of the Network of English Teachers in Luxembourg and Inspiring Student Learning Institutes. 

Nancy said,

“I am honoured to become ISL’s Head of Community Relations next year. My focus will be on strengthening links with the local and international community, developing new partnerships, and further demonstrating ISL’s position as the Luxembourg school of choice for both expatriates, and families looking for the highest global standards of education, taught in English.”
