Colegio Alberto Einstein is a bilingual school in Quito, Ecuador, offering three levels of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum: the Primary and Middle Years Programmes followed by the Diploma Programme. Fully accredited by both the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, this K–12, day school currently enrolls 600 students of 12 nationalities, 93% of whom are Ecuadorian. The teaching staff of 108 includes 80 educators from Ecuador and 16 from North America.

Colegio Alberto Einstein’s campus has sports facilities, basketball courts, volleyball courts and/or soccer fields for each section of its campus—primary, middle, and high school. Students in the earliest years enjoy their own exclusive space, too, with large, green recreational areas; farm animals; a sandpit; a climbing wall; a mini gym; a multisensory classroom; and classrooms or workspaces for Hebrew, art, music, theater, robotics, and science. The school at large has tables for chess, a large gym, and a stadium.
A wide range of activities await students after classes: athletics, basketball, soccer, volleyball, chess, robotics, visual arts, journalism, orchestra, theater, band, Community and Service, Junior Achievement, and Model United Nations. Additionally, there are some opportunities to participate in intercollegiate competitions through organizations like the Association of American Schools in South America and the Quito International Schools Sports Association.
Since May 1999, Colegio Alberto Einstein has hosted an annual Arts Festival. Thousands of young people, teachers, and specialists gather to enjoy choral groups, instrumentalists, theater groups, professional didactic concerts, wind and string orchestras, paintings, ceramics, stained glass, and murals, among others.
For the past 36 years, the school has organized the annual Alberto Einstein National Intercollegiate Physics Contest, for students in Grades 11–12. The contest was conceived as a tribute to Albert Einstein, to recognize him both as an exceptional scientist as well as a lover of universal peace and solidarity. The judges of the event are usually delegates from Quito’s universities. Though it began on a local level, within a year, the Ministry of Education endorsed it as a national competition, with a prize donated by the Ehrenfield family—who belong to the Jewish community of Quito—in memory of their son Roberto, an outstanding student in mathematics and physics who died in an accident at age 15. During the contest, leading specialists lecture on scientific topics of interest to physics teachers and the general public.
Colegio Alberto Einstein is interested in hiring certified singles and couples, including those with a non-teaching partner. They will also consider outstanding newly-certified candidates and those certified in a non-English speaking country. Teachers must hold their academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. Certified candidates up to the age of 55 may obtain a work visa.
