Stamford American School Hong Kong (SASHK) is a new and fast-growing school in Hong Kong. The school also boasts specialist rooms for visual art, drama, music, and physical education. Now in its second year, SASHK enrolls 800 students from Pre-primary to Grade 8, with plans to introduce Grades 9 through 12 in the coming years. The holistic curriculum is inquiry-driven and follows the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) standards and benchmarks. A strong focus on STEM ensures that students develop the core skills needed for the future. SASHK is a candidate school for the Council of International Schools and is pursuing authorization to be an International Baccalaureate World School. SASHK’s teaching staff of 40 includes 30 from North America, two from Hong Kong and one teacher from the U.K.
SASHK is interested in hiring single teachers but would consider teaching couples, exceptional newly-certified teachers, outstanding local teachers lacking certification, and exceptional candidates certified in non-English speaking countries. Candidates must possess their academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. Certified teachers up to the age of 65 may obtain a work visa. The school says,
