Dr. Zak Palsha Appointed Director of the American Cooperative School of Tunis (ACST)

On behalf of the Search Committee and the Board of Governors of the American Cooperative School of Tunis (ACST), Tunisia, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Zak Palsha has been appointed as ACST's next Director to commence in the summer of 2023.
Dr. Palsha has served as Director of the Al-Bayan International School in Kuwait since 2015, steering many positive changes in academic achievement, financial stability and campus improvement.
Internationally, Dr. Palsha has also served as the Principal of Awsaj Academy Middle School in Doha, Qatar. In the U.S., he has experience as an Elementary School Principal, High School Assistant Principal, and Program Coordinator for School and Family Support in various schools in the Northwest. He also was Adjunct Lecturer at Central Washington University.
Dr. Palsha earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and his Master’s in School Administration from Central Washington University, and his Doctorate in Executive Leadership from Seattle Pacific University.
He is an accomplished school administrator and has been awarded several local, state and regional awards for his work in the U.S., including the coveted Washington State Golden Apple Award for Educational Excellence, the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) Regional Distinguished Principal Award, and the Renton School Board Outstanding Employee Award.
Zak will be joined in Tunis by his wife, Dr. Nardin, and their three children.
