2022 CEESA Conference

Search Associates continues to strengthen its close ties with the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA). Each year Search Associates partners with CEESA in support of the annual teacher and administrator conference. For the past two years, the conference has been held virtually, with the hope for a return to a face-to-face event in the very near future! This year, Senior Associate Brian Lettinga attended the March 17-19 event, whose theme was Valuing Our Students’ Voices.

This year, CEESA tried something a bit different by making its conference student-led. The event provided an opportunity for student voices to be heard from across the CEESA region. During the conference, teachers, school leaders, and students shared ideas and learned alongside one another in this innovative format. Students had the opportunity to showcase achievements, with the intention to inspire others to take action on issues that our students care about most.

Several well-known presenters and educational experts shared their expertise across the three-day event. With 60 speakers offering different sessions, CEESA organizers created color codes on the platform so that participants could pursue areas of interest, such as Creative Expression; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice; Innovative Learning; Student-led Conference; Sustaining Change; Wellbeing, and more.

The event was a flexible engagement model by design—putting emphasis on the elements of choice and voice—so different school communities could attend in ways that worked for them. Search Associates looks forward to our continued partnership with CEESA and their associate and member schools.
