EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1ST, 2017

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Search Committee of the American School of Dubai (ASD) in Dubai, UAE, we are pleased to announce that after a worldwide search which produced a large number of highly qualified candidates, Dr. Paul Richards has been appointed as the new ASD Superintendent, beginning in the 2017-18 academic year.

Dr. Richards is currently Superintendent of the International Schools Group – Saudi Arabia in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Prior to his present position he was High School Principal of the American School in London, in the UK from 2009-13. Dr. Richards also has ten years of previous administrative experience in the USA at Needham High School in Needham, MA and at Nantucket High School in Nantucket, MA.

Dr. Richards earned a BS at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Master’s Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College in Boston, MA.
