Dear Colleagues,

Woodstock School and Search Associates are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Blair Lee as the next Principal (Head of School) of Woodstock School, beginning July 1 2026, following a comprehensive international search that brought forward an exceptional field of candidates.

Dr. Lee is a Canadian educator and globally respected school leader with more than two decades of experience guiding diverse international school communities across Asia and the Middle East. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for cultivating strong, healthy school cultures grounded in trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. Known for his ethical, relationship-driven leadership, he places students at the center of every decision and works closely with staff and families to ensure each learner thrives.

Dr. Lee has served in several senior leadership roles, including Head of School at Branksome Hall Asia in Jeju, Korea; Head of School at Dalian American International School in China; Director at Mount Zaagham International School in Indonesia; and Assistant Head of School for Academics at Seoul Foreign School. His experience across Canadian, UK, US, and International Baccalaureate curricula positions him well to guide Woodstock into its next phase of educational excellence.

Raised in Canada, Dr. Lee is married to Kim, who holds both a law degree and a Master’s degree in Education. Together they have embraced more than two decades of overseas service. Their adult sons, Hudson and Maguire, live in Vancouver. As a family, they share a deep love of the outdoors—something that resonated immediately with Woodstock’s Himalayan setting and the school’s long tradition of learning through engagement with nature.

Reflecting on his visit to campus in early December, Dr. Lee shared that Woodstock feels like “a place I have been preparing for my whole life.” During their time on campus, Dr. Lee and Kim met with students, staff, parents, and alumni; experienced residential life; and developed a deep appreciation for Woodstock’s distinctive identity, spiritual heritage, and extraordinary sense of community.

In announcing his appointment, the Board shared its confidence that Dr. Lee’s leadership philosophy, global experience, and deep commitment to student-centered education align powerfully with Woodstock’s mission and aspirations for the future.

We extend our warm congratulations to Dr. Lee and to the Woodstock community and thank the many candidates who applied for this unique position.

Warm regards,

Tim Stuart and Rajiv Bhat
