High School Principal
Lincoln School (Costa Rica)

 

 

Dr. William McConnell has been hired by Lincoln School in Costa Rica to be the next High School Principal starting in July 2026.

William is currently in his fifth year as Assistant Principal of the High School Division at the American School Dharan, Saudi Arabia, having initially served an AP Chemistry teacher for three years.  Previously, William worked as a Biology and Chemistry teacher at the British Vietnamese International School in Ho Chi Minh City; the British International School of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Dharan High School, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia; Escuela Americana, San Salvador; John Burrows High School in Burbank, California; and Sabin Middle School, Colorado Springs.

William is fluent in Spanish and is experienced in a variety of curricula including AP, IB, IGCSE and A-Levels.  He looks forward to the further development of Lincoln’s IB Diploma Program with the development and addition of the CP Programme.

William will be accompanied by his partner Nguyen Thi Hong Xuyen and their child who will enter Grade 1 next school year.
