Effective August 2016 

On behalf of the Board and Search Committee of The American School of Antananarivo, I am pleased to announce that after a worldwide search which produced a large number of highly qualified candidates, Mrs Caroline Brokvam has been appointed as the new Director, beginning in July 2016.Caroline will be accompanied by her husband Staale.

Caroline is currently the Head of City Campus and Senior School Principal at Copenhagen International School. Prior to this she has also been a senior administrator in Australia and was the Assistant Principal of the High School at the International School of Manila from 2005-2009.

Caroline earned her Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Western Australia along with her Bachelor of Arts First Class. In 2006 she added a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education from Edith Cowan University to an already impressive educational dossier. She also holds a Certificate in International School Leadership from the Principal’s training centre.
