In the middle of a Canadian winter, international educators will be extended a warm welcome. Search Associates is pleased to offer its first annual Vancouver Job Fair this coming February 21-24 at the Delta Airport Hotel. The event will be kept small, just like its sister, the 18th Annual Toronto Job Fair, held January 24-26 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. Ray Sparks, Senior Associate and Coordinator for both fairs, wants "…to give schools plenty of time to meet the candidates." Approximately 40 international schools and 175 candidates will attend. Some of the schools represented at the Toronto fair will also attend the Vancouver fair.
Candidates with all levels of experience—including those newly certified—in all subject areas are welcome. Also encouraged are singles and teaching couples. Ray explains,
"Many of the candidates attending will have some overseas experience, and others will be first timers, excited about the possible opportunity of teaching internationally."
Since joining Search Associates in 2002, Ray has assisted over a thousand teachers and administrative candidates to secure positions at international schools around the world.
