Kevin Brawn Appointed Next Secondary Principal of AISM

On behalf of Mr. Russ Menard, Director of the American International School of Mozambique (AISM), Search Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kevin Brawn as the next Secondary School Principal, beginning August 2024.

Kevin holds a master’s in education (International Education) from Endicott College in the U.S. and is currently working on his Doctorate in Educational Leadership, also through Endicott College.

An experienced international school leader currently serving as High School Associate Principal at The American School of Dubai in the UAE, Mr. Brawn leads a team of over 100 teachers and more than 720 students. Prior to this, he was Athletics Director at the American School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; The American Community School of Abu Dhabi, UAE; and the American International School in Egypt. Kevin has also served as K-12 Principal for several schools in Canada. Eager for this next chapter, he states,

I’m excited to work not only with a diverse learning community within a vibrant international population but also in that part of the globe where I can experience the culture and opportunities in east Africa.

Kevin will be joining AISM in August with his wife Jasmine and their son William, who will be 15 when school starts. In his free time, Kevin is heavily involved in coaching—within the school and wider community—and ongoing service and service-learning projects. During tough moments, he reminds himself: School and life shouldn't be something that happens to you; we all have a wonderful opportunity to create our own meaningful experiences.

Search Associates would like to thank all the candidates who applied for this position, and to everyone who assisted and supported the successful Secondary School Principal search process for the American International School of Mozambique.
