Hong Kong: Perfect Fair Weather

Unseasonably hot weather greeted Senior Associate Dr. Barry Drake, his assistant Veronica Drake, 160 candidates, and recruiters from 34 schools at this year's Search Job Fair in Hong Kong. Also sunny were the chances of success for all the participants: 315 jobs were posted, giving excellent candidate to school and candidates to jobs ratios.

Though candidate registration, initially up 20% from last year, dipped at the time of the fair, Barry accounted for the late withdrawals:

"The fair was held a week later than usual… The recruiting process gears up so much earlier all the time. A number of schools had filled their places through our data base and earlier fairs. And flooding in Jakarta prevented one registered school from attending."

With fourteen job fairs held throughout the year around the world and an extensive and highly effective data base, Search Associates continues to provide myriad opportunities for candidates and overseas schools to meet — whatever the weather.
