Search Associates is pleased to announce that Dr. David Cramer has joined our team of Senior Associates. He has been directly involved in education for many years, from teaching pre-school to graduate-level courses. In addition to holding various administrative positions, he has also served as director at four overseas schools, which include the American International School of Dhaka, American Community School Abu Dhabi, American Cooperative School La Paz, and Jakarta International School. He also served as a board member to four regional international education associations. David makes it clear that, in his thirty-three years in education, his vision has never clouded:
"All my decisions have been based on what is in the best interest of the students I am serving. Planning as well as using data and analysis is the key. I always say, 'Hope is no strategy!'"
David's impressive educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, in addition to a Master of Education and Doctor of Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, he holds an Administrative Credential from California State University, Chico.
For the past six years, Dr. Cramer has worked for the U.S. Department of State Office of Overseas Schools as Regional Education Officer. Here, he supported administrators, teachers, parents and students by providing grants, professional development, and counseling. As Senior Associate, David will provide services in the fields of school governance, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and administrative searches.
David and his wife, Diane, also an international educator, agree that raising their children overseas was invaluable. Both daughters graduated from schools abroad and greatly benefited from both the education and experience. Having lived and worked as an educator in eight countries, for more than 35 years, Dr. Cramer possesses the wisdom, perspective, and experience that will serve him well as a Senior Associate and bring even more talent to the Search Associates team.
