Search Associates is widely known for helping educators find jobs in international schools around the world. This past year, Search Associates assisted in the appointments of nearly 2,954 teachers, administrators, and interns. One factor in their success is that many Associates serve as consultants to schools in the areas of finance, governance, leadership, and strategic planning, giving them intimate knowledge of their member schools.
Jim Ambrose, Senior Associate, whose work is centered on school governance, says,
"A well-governed school is a good school for candidates to work at."
Indeed, when Search Associates sends consultants to schools, they have the opportunity to learn more about the school, which increases the company’s effectiveness to better advise candidates during their job search.
Jim is currently on a month-long trip from mid-August to mid-September for a series of consulting tasks. For his fifth year in a row, he has returned to the International School of Phnom Penh to lead a governance retreat. Jim is also returning to the International School of Bangkok, where he had previously served as a consultant to help fill several senior leadership positions and where he will now lead a day-long governance retreat. Finally, Jim has several missions in Morocco. After leading a three-day governance retreat at the Rabat American School, Jim will assist the Casablanca American School in rewriting their Articles of Association and By-Laws and will next visit the American Schools of Marrakech and Tangier to assess their readiness for strategic planning.
