In 2001, after the experience of working in a leper colony in Madagascar, Mei-Lyn was ready to "go out to the Congo to fight Ebola" as a microbiologist. Fortunately, getting married to her husband Matthew, and having three children shifted her mindset and ignited a passion for education and exploring the world. Mei-Lyn and Matthew became candidates with Search Associates in 2011 when they ventured out to join a school in China. Mei-Lyn completed her Masters of International Education at George Mason University, which led her to various teaching and leadership positions in China and South Korea for the past 10 years. Her most recent position was with Chadwick International in South Korea as PYP Coordinator.
Mei-Lyn continues to fuel her joy for relationship-building through a variety of positions: as a Workshop Leader for the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO); on the board as a Director for Environmental Vision Exchange (EVE); and on the board as the Director for Marketing and Communications at Hudson Forest Play, a space for 4 to 6-year-olds to connect with nature. Mei-Lyn cultivates her own well-being with family, mindfulness, travel, nature and exercise.
Mei-Lyn joins Search Associates in the role of School Coordinator with much enthusiasm. In this role, she will work to support new schools with the application process to join Search Associates and existing member schools on all aspects related to recruitment services.
